On January 17th 2014 Mr. Khuzaima Qutbuddin claimed via a recorded video posted on his official website that he was the now the acting head of the Dawoodi Bohra Community based on a decades-old private appointment of him by the fifty-second Da’i Syedna Mohammed Burhanuddin who had passed away that very same day. The unprecedented and very surprising claim came as a shock to members of the Dawoodi Bohra community who were deeply vulnerable and in pain at the time. Mr. Qutbuddin’s claims were followed by defamatory and disparaging articles in several Indian newspapers instigated by his children which deliberately aimed in creating an atmosphere of confusion in a very critical moment for the community. The motives behind Mr. Qutbuddin’s outlandish actions and those of his family therefore remain quite peculiar and mostly all members of the Dawoodi Bohra community felt that they lacked integrity or true honor.

It is out of that peculiarity that I have started this website. Mr. Qutbuddin has alleged that his appointment as the head of the Dawoodi Bohra community is valid through several nuanced theological claims. Therefore, this website is a collection of several open letters to Mr. Qutbuddin from members of the Dawoodi Bohra community worldwide calling upon him to render proof and clear explanations for the various and rather vague allegations he has made. Since we are the followers of Syedna Mohammed Burhanuddin who he claims to be a successor, then I feel it is incumbent on him to provide some answers to us. Therefore, it is our hope that Mr. Qutbuddin, who has claimed that he is the Haq na Sahib, will provide explanations with due diligence for the inquiries on this site.

If you have a reasonable question for Mr. Qutbuddin you are welcome to send it to this website as well and I will post it a long with the other letters and questions I have compiled. Your name will be changed for privacy if you wish. We also call upon Mr. Qutbuddin and his children to engage these questions and clear up any confusion that their actions and words have caused amongst mumineen.
